Polish-American pianist Basia Bochenek began her piano studies at the age of seven in Stalowa Wola, Poland. Since moving to the United States, Basia has completed degrees in piano performance from the Northern Illinois University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she was awarded the position of pianist-in-residence at the Leonard Sorkin International Institute of Chamber Music.

In 2009, Basia relocated to L.A. and has earned a Masters degree in Collaborative Arts from the California Institute of the Arts and a Graduate Certificate in Collaborative Arts from the University of Southern California. Basia is an active collaborative artist and has played for the studios of acclaimed instrumental and vocal teachers, including LA Philharmonic concertmaster Martin Chalifour, Vermeer Quartet violist Richard Young, Rod Gilfry and Sherrill Milnes. Basia also has a strong passion for teaching. With over 10-years of teaching experience, Basia excels at bringing out the best in each and every student while promoting a supportive and professional learning experience.
