Elliot Deutsch is an in-demand trumpeter and arranger. He has performed with BB King, Lalo Schiffrin, Jon Faddis, Lukas Nelson, Solomon Burke and many others. Deutsch is perhaps best known for composing and arranging. He has written music for Arturo Sandoval, Bill Watrous, Flea, Cheryl Bentyne (The Manhattan Transfer), Laura Dickinson, Drake, David Foster, Terance Blanchard, Megan Hilty, and many others. His jazz ensemble charts are published by Alfred Music. In 2015, John Clayton enlisted Deutsch to write four arrangements for the Kennedy Center Gala It Don’t Mean a Thing. The Elliot Deutsch Big Band has performed twice at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, as well as regular appearances at The Blue Whale, Vitello’s, and Catalina’s, and has released two albums, Weeknight Music (2009) and The Push! (2014).

Elliot Deutsch has been teaching private music lessons since 2007. He served as the director of bands at Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary High School from 2009 to 2014, and taught the Caltech Monday Jazz Band during the 2007-2008 school year. Beginning in 2015, Elliot Deutsch teaches jazz trumpet to the music majors at Long Beach City College.
