Ted Tafaro
Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute

Ted Taforo is a performer, educator, and composer known for his versatility, unique compositions, and powerful saxophone sound. Ted has performed and/or recorded with Spoon, Duncan Thum, Kan Wakan, Maxim Ludwig's Raw Dog Band, Michael Mull Quartet, Bird Concerns and others. His work as a solo artist includes the recordings The Pope from Rome and Texacoma.

Ted is a two-time recipient of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award and is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and California Institute of the Arts. In addition to teaching at SPMCC, Ted also teaches at West Coast Music Academy in Santa Clarita, CA, The Rhodes School of Music in Los Angeles, and at the Music Immersion Experience (MIE) Program at Roosevelt Elementary School in San Gabriel, CA.
